Adding utilities and equipment

Add Utilities

In every building, essentials such as doors, windows, ventilations and pillars are a must. We’ve made it easier than ever to incorporate these utilities. Here’s how:

  1. From the ‘Building’ menu click on the tab ‘Utilities.’
  2. Select the desired item and then drag and drop it to its desired location

Add Equipment 

When it comes to equipment, just follow these steps:

  1. From the ‘Building’ menu, click on the ‘Equipment’ tab.
  2. Search for your product by scrolling down the list, typing its name in the search bar at the bottom left of the screen, or by checking the tags associated with that technology. You can select multiple tags to narrow down your search.
  3. Once you’ve found the piece of equipment, simply drag and drop it to the desired location.
  4. To move an item, double-click on it. You can also perform a rotation by pressing on the lever beneath the equipment and rotating it.

Some objects are stackable on other objects. First use the 2D view then use the 3D view to check that your object is correctly placed.

Deleting equipment and utilities

To delete an item:

  1. Select the object by double-clicking on it.
  2. Use the ‘Delete’ key on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can use the ‘Trash’ icon located in the object overview on the information menu.

Specific equipment 

By-default
 

Do you need to represent a volume or equipment that is not included in our Product Portfolio? You can add by-default equipment from the Product Portfolio and adjust it to the required size, including length, width, and height. Here’s how:

  1. From the ‘Building’ menu, click on the ‘Equipment’ tab.
  2. In the search bar at the bottom left of the screen, type ‘by default’ or ‘resizable.’
  3. Double-click on the item, then open the left info panel.
  4. Adapt the dimensions to meet your specific requirements.
 
 
Pillars
 
From the Utilities panel, you can find this equipment to represent the technical pillars, partition walls or bulkheads. As explain above to the info panel and adapt their dimensions. 
 
 
Windows
 
Go to the info panel and adapt their dimensions.
