1. Overview of the Pipettes module
The Pipettes module centralizes information on pipettes in order to make them easier to manage and track on a day-to-day basis.
Since pipettes are not represented on the 3D plan in Asset Manager, the module provides a dedicated view where users can locate pipettes, check their locations, review their characteristics, and access information relevant to metrological control.
The module allows you to:
- Quickly find pipettes using their identifying information
- View pipette locations and key characteristics
- Identify pipettes that require attention or metrological control
- Track and review operational statuses and comments
- Complete additional information specific to each team
2. Data Sources
The information displayed in the Pipettes module comes from two complementary sources:
1. Data from iShift
Reference data is imported from iShift using the same process as in the Asset Manager. It includes pipette identification and location details, among other information.
2. Manually entered data
Some information is not available in iShift and must therefore be entered manually by the teams directly in the Pipettes module. This information may include:
- Local
- Team
- Work center
- GMP
- Last status
- Comments
This additional information helps teams maintain the details needed to manage and track their pipettes.
3. Viewing Pipettes
The Pipettes module offers two display modes to meet different user needs: Compact View and Full Table View.
3.1. Compact View
This Compact View is designed to help users quickly identify a pipette and access its main information without having to review every available field. The layout is also optimized for smaller screens.
To view a pipette:
- Open the Pipettes module.
- Find the pipette you are looking for in the list.
- Select the pipette to view its detailed information.

The main information displayed includes:
- IMMO number
- Location
- Label
- Work center
- Manufacturer
- Technical post
3.2. Full Table View
The Full Table View displays all the columns available in the module. It makes it easier to compare information, track pipettes, and update additional data.
Depending on your access rights and the available fields, you may also be able to edit certain information directly from this view.
Important: Only fields configured as editable can be modified. Data imported from iShift cannot be manually edited in the Pipettes module.

4. Editing Pipette Information
Some information can be entered or updated directly in the Pipettes module, including:
- Local
- Team
- Work center
- GMP
- Last status
- Comments
The available editing options depend on which fields are configurable and the access rights assigned to the user.
Change tracking
A modification history is available to track changes made to pipette information.

5. Pipette Status
5.1 Last Status
The LAST STATUS column identifies pipettes associated with a specific operational status.
The available statuses are:
- Anomaly detected: An anomaly has been reported for the pipette.
- Submitted for metrological control: The pipette has been submitted for metrological control.
- Not found: The pipette could not be located.

5.2. GMP Classification
The GMP column indicates whether a pipette is classified as GMP or non-GMP. A color code is used to make this classification easier to identify visually.

These indicators help teams quickly identify pipettes requiring attention and prepare the necessary actions.
6. Searching and filtering pipettes
The Pipettes module provides several search and filtering options to help you quickly locate one or more pipettes.
6.1. Searching within a specific column
Column-specific filters allow you to search for pipettes using a particular field.
Example: to find pipettes associated with room 206, use the filter in the location column and enter “206”.

6.2. Using the global search
Global search allows you to search for information across the entire table without selecting a specific column.
It is useful when you only have partial information, such as a number, label, or manufacturer name. Enter your search term in the global search field and review the matching results.

6.3. Combining multiple filters
You can combine filters to narrow down your search results.
For example, you can combine:
- A location filter to identify pipettes in a specific area.
- A team filter to display pipettes associated with a particular team.
- A global search term to find specific information within the results.
Combining filters reduces the list to only the pipettes that match your criteria.

To remove all applied filters, select “Clear all”.

6.4. Identifying Pipettes overdue for metrological control
The metrology alert filter identifies pipettes considered overdue for control.
This alert is based on the last control and status information available in iShift.
We recommend checking this filter regularly to identify pipettes that require attention.

7. Exporting data for on-site use
The Pipettes module allows you to export data for use outside the application, including for printing.
This feature is particularly useful for teams working in areas where access to a computer is not always possible.
Important: The current export downloads the entire table. Applying filters does not restrict the data included in the exported file.
