Creating and Editing a Guided Tour

Learn how to build and customize an interactive guided tour of your project in HakoBio.

Once your project is complete, you can experience it through an immersive guided tour.

The Guided Tour enables you to walk through your process step by step, accompanied by a virtual guide explaining the equipment, rooms, and workflow.

You can create or edit a guided tour directly from the Solution Builder. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Open the Guided Tour Panel

To begin, you will need to have a project ready.

In the Solution Builder’s project list, open the project you want to create a guided tour for. Once inside the project, navigate to Guided Tour in the feature menu on the left.

2. Define the Starting Point

Before creating your path, it’s important to define where visitors will start their journey.

Drag and drop the marker into your project to set the starting point of the tour. This determines where users will appear when they enter the guided tour.

If needed, you can reposition this point at any time by double-clicking the pin and dragging it to a new location — for example, at the entrance of your facility or at the beginning of your process.

3. Create the Path and Steps

Now that the starting point is set, you can begin mapping out the visitor experience.

Drag and drop markers throughout your project to define the path and steps of the guided tour. Each pin represents a stop along the way where information can be shared.

If you need to adjust the path at any point, double-click a marker to select it, then drag it to a new position.

You can also link equipment to specific steps — this helps illustrate your process more precisely and connects your virtual tour directly to your actual setup.

4. Add Descriptions and Media

Once the path is defined, it’s time to make your guided tour engaging and informative.

For each step, click the pencil icon to open the editing options. Here, you can add a description, images, audio, or videos to explain your process and provide deeper insights into each step.

To remove attached media, select the trash icon next to the item you want to delete.

Tip: Use a mix of visuals and text to make your guided tour clear and interactive for all visitors.

5. Reorder or Delete Steps

As your tour takes shape, you may want to adjust the order of your steps or remove some entirely.

In the Guided Tour panel on the left, drag and drop the different steps to reorder them and ensure the tour follows your intended sequence.

If a step is no longer needed, click the trash icon next to its name to delete it.

6. Preview Your Guided Tour

With your guided tour fully configured, you can now test the experience from a visitor’s perspective.

On the web platform, click the Enter Project button (located below 2D in the right-side controls).

Then, select Guided Tour to walk through your project step by step, following the defined path and media content.

You can also choose Free Walk mode to explore the facility freely at your own pace. Unlike the Guided Tour, this mode doesn’t include defined steps, paths, or media.

Sharing a Guided Tour

You can share your guided tour with others using a direct URL link.

Click Share, then select Project Embeddable. This action makes your guided tour public and generates a shareable link.

Copy the link and share it with your audience — they can simply paste it into their browser’s address bar to access the tour.
