Access a Multi-User Guided Tour in VR

HakoBio’s multi-user mode allows trainers and participants to explore guided tours together simultaneously.

To follow this guide, you will need a Meta Quest headset or another compatible VR device with the HakoBio VR app installed. Before you begin, ensure you’ve completed the following steps:

Configure Multi-User Mode

1. Open Settings

After logging in, open the menu using the virtual watch and access the application settings.

2. Select Server and Activate Multi-User Mode

  • Choose a geographical server according to your region (e.g., Europe).
  • Activate multi-user mode by clicking “Enabled.”

Important Notes

  • Once multi-user mode is activated, your server choice is locked. To change the server, first deactivate multi-user mode.
  • All participants, including the trainer and viewers, must select the same server for the multi-user session to function properly.

Inviting Participants

For Trainers

  1. Open the project or tour you want to run.
  2. Ensure the environment is fully loaded.

For Viewers

Once the multi-user mode settings have been chosen and activated, go back to the list of projects, then wait for the invitation from the trainer:

  1. A window will appear in your HakoBio lobby when the trainer sends an invitation.
  2. You can accept or decline the invitation.
  3. Once accepted, the guided tour will load, and you will join the trainer in real time.

Performance Tips

Internet Connection

Check your connection status (green, orange, or red) and ping. Lower ping values indicate lower latency and a smoother experience.

Connection Quality

A stable and fast internet connection improves multi-user performance.

Troubleshooting

If you see the wrong interface or cannot join a session, return to the lobby and re-enable multi-user mode as described above.
