First interactions in XR Miniature View

To follow this tutorial, you need an Oculus Quest headset with the HakoBio VR app installed. It is recommended to watch this article first: Access HakoBio XR App.

Open a Project in Miniature View

  1. Set the View perspective to “Miniature.”
  2. Select the project you want to open, or search for it using the search bar.
  3. Then hold button A on the right controller to confirm the action.

Map positioning

When you enter a new project, you will first need to position the maps before being able to explore it.

Follow the instruction writing in the headset:

Move the room or the equipment using the joysticks.

  • Use the left joystick to move forward, backward, left, or right.
  • Use the right joystick to rotate your view – tilt left or right to snap-turn 90° at a time.
  • Use left controller X and Y button to place the map Up or down

Access Setting

To access the setting of the experience you need to push the Settings button on the Left controller :

The indicated button on the left Joystick opens and closes the HakoBio menu

Set up Position:

The ‘Set Up Equipment’ button allows you to change the position of the map when it was previously defined.

Online user:

  • Online users 0 = You have no internet connection.
  • Online users 1 = You are connected and people can see you using a session if you are in a multiplayer session.
  • Online users 1 or more = You and your team are sharing the same experience at the same time, unlocking further options for the multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer mode

Presenter Mode:

If you need to present a facility while preventing your audience from interacting with the project, you can select the ‘Presenter Mode’ button available in the HakoBio menu.

With this mode activated, you will be the only person able to interact with the project, while everyone

else will be able to observe your actions.

To stop presenting, select the same button again.

Share set-up:

The Share Set-Up feature is used when multiple people are experiencing the same session in the same room.

When you share the set-up, everyone connected to the same session will receive the maps in the position you have defined, so that everyone in the room is looking at the same element together.
