Tips and tricks on browser use

You’ll get the best experience by using Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome

To easily find your HakoBio organization, bookmark it as a favorite

Adding HakoBio to your favorites list can be done while navigating on the platform: click on the star icon at the top right of the browser, more precisely at the right of the URL bar, to bookmark it.

Keep in mind to refresh the page, if necessary

In some cases, you may not be using the most recent version of your web-browser and thus HakoBio might be loading slowly or not run smoothly. To prevent any issue we advise to use the refresh feature from your browser.


If you encounter any browsing difficulties, see here how a page refresh can be done :

On  Windows

Use the combination “Crtl – R” on your keyboard.

On  Mac OS 

Use the combination “command – R” or “Apple – R” on your keyboard. 

On any browser  

Simply click on the Refresh this page of your browser. Refresh this page

 

Clear the browser data cache

Emptying your browser’s data cache

When refreshing the webpage just doesn’t cut it, clearing the data cache is the next best thing.

On Chrome  

  1. In the browser URL bar, enter:  chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
  2. At the top of the Clear browsing data window, click Advanced.
  3. Select Cached images and files
  4. From the Time range drop-down menu, you can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information. To clear your entire cache, select All time.
  5. Click CLEAR DATA.
  6. Close all browser tabs and windows and then re-open a web page, to validate the manipulation.

On Firefox 

  1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History.
  2. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
  3. From the Time range drop-down menu, you can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information. To clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  4. Next to Details, click the down arrow to choose Cache.
  5. Click Clear Now.
  6. Close all browser tabs and windows and then re-open a web page, to validate the manipulation.

On Edge

  1. Select Settings, etc. > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

  2. Under Clear Browsing Data > Clear Browsing Data Now, select Choose items to clear.

  3. Under Time range, choose all period from the list. Then choose only : Cached images and files.

  4. Select Clear Now
